Going Digital To Reach Clients

Now more than ever businesses and organizations should be using digital methods to reach their clients. This is a situation that has been brought on by the COVID-19 disease. The COVID-19 pandemic has plagued the planet over the last year and a few months. Which, as the name suggests, known cases have been documented as of the year 2019. Because of the need to isolate ourselves from physical contact with others, as a way to reduce the spread of the Corona Virus, that causes COVID-19, many persons have been indoors for the majority of time.

Being social by nature, people will seek alternative methods of maintaining contact and communication with their family, friends and colleagues. This is where the internet plays a pivotal role in the facilitation of contact among our populations. Making use of the internet, persons have resorted to the use of many applications such as Zoom, Facebook, Whatsapp, Microsoft Teams, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Snapchat, which are only but a few of the many available options for communication and getting your messages across to the desired audience. By default, whenever someone needs to access or research information on a given subject, the giant Google is there to the rescue. Let’s not forget the ever so helpful Youtube, that’s there not only for entertainment purposes such as music and videos, but also, has tons of tutorials on a vast range of topics.   

What does this mean? There is a tremendous potential for the use of social media and other digital means to reach your customers. At the time of writing this article, according to statista.com, published by Watson, A. 18 June, 2020. Device usage increase due to coronavirus worldwide 2020, has shown that there has been a worldwide usage increase of 70% among Smartphone/mobile phone, 40% Laptop, 32% Desktop, 30% Smart TV/Media streaming service and 22% Tablet. According to Oliver, N. et al, 05 June 2020, Mobile phone data for informing public health actions across the COVID-19 pandemic life cycle, “the COVID-19 pandemic will not be over soon, and it will not be the last pandemic we face”. Act now and make use of digital means to get your services to your current and potential customers.
